Birth Certificate Replacement

Our replacement Birth certificate service is based upon the information provided by you the subscriber and we cannot be responsible for any false or inaccurate information supplied by the subscriber unless we have carried out the search to identify the GRO index information.
Please ensure that you know the following information prior to submitting a birth certificate application:
Forename
Surname
Mother’s Maiden Surname
Date of Birth*
Month/Quarter & Year Regd*
Registration District (if known)
If we are unable to identify the Birth certificate based on the information provided, we will retain 50 search credits the remainder will be credited back to your tracing account.
All Birth certificates supplied are original or certified copies provided by the official registers and departments specified and will be acceptable to all agencies. It takes approximately 10/11 working days England and Wales and for Scottish records 21 working days to process the replacement Birth certificate and will be delivered to you at the subscribers supplied home address by first class Royal mail recorded post.
